I Am Now The Proud Owner of A Kindle
So far it seems easy to use. After entering in the password for our router it connected immediately and takes you to the Amazon.com Kindle Store.
Once there you can do either a search for certain books or browse the thousands of books they sell. Prices are not shown until you click on the book when using your kindle.
This can be remedy by browsing Amazon with your computer, locate the book you would like to read at the price point you want and then search with your Kindle and purchase.
It does have a web browser app, but they need to tweak it. It is hard to read web pages on the Kindle. This function is still in Beta mode anyways.
Just so you know- Kindle is all Black & White (no color) as in the Color Nook or the Ipad.
It ...is light weight and has a very long battery life.
Color does not matter to me and the Kindle was a good price. They have excellent support and over 800,000 Kindle titles to choose from.
By the way....there are many low priced indie books for the Kindle found on Amazon. You just have to browse for them or watch the discussion board at the bottom of the page.
There is even a Kindle Board Site (Forum) just for Kindle and its books.
I love Amazon...the items I ordered, I received them much sooner than they quoted; by almost 4 days early.
Their site is easy to browse and find what you are looking for. I find Barnes & Noble and Borders sites hard to navigate when compared to the ease of Amazon.
